Spelling Bee: Two St. Gabriel's students won awards in the 2004 Houston Chronicle Spelling Bee.

Geography Bee: Students in grades 4-8 participate annually in the National Geography Bee competition.

Archangels:  “Defenders of the Spirit; working through the hands of Christ.”  Just like the archangels, we strive to be messengers and helpers of God.  Our mission includes beautifying our school campus by decorating our prayer garden with individuality, helping our community by participating in a blue jean drive with St. Vincent de Paul, and showing our spirituality by buying a special prayer box for our new middle school building.  In Archangels we also know how to have a great time; we have weekly fellowship meetings and enjoy going to concerts, like MercyMe. Archangels is an inspiring and spiritual club that welcomes any follower of Christ.

Spanish:  Our purpose is to foster our understanding and appreciation of Hispanic cultures through partaking in community events as well as to increase awareness within our school community and enjoy the fellowship our classmates with similar interests.

Book Club:  Book club is a open organization with the purpose of encouraging students to read.  It gives students an outlet to express their thoughts and feelings about literature.  We meet every other Thursday in the Library.  Anyone is more than welcome to join or just drop in ocationally.
